Barr-Nunn Transportation, a premier truck load carrier in business for over 42 years, is currently seeking a Diesel Mechanic Intern to join our growing team at our Columbus, OH terminal.
The Diesel Mechanic Intern will work with the foreman and existing diesel mechanics to maintain diesel equipment operation. We are looking for motivated candidates who are looking to start and grow their career in diesel maintenance. We provide on the job training, steady work, an environment that promotes teamwork, and opportunities for advancement.
This position would be temporary with potential to hire on as a permanent employee.

Qualified candidates must have a solid work history, valid driver's license, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be at least 18 years old. Must have high school diploma or GED or be actively pursuing a high school diploma or GED.
Employment contingent on passing a pre-employment physical and drug screens to include both urine and hair follicle testing (Marijuana is a disqualification of employment due to safety-sensitive functions of the position).

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or G.E.D.

Main Job Responsibilities
Intern responsibilities include and are not limited to - Assist in cleaning trucks and maintaining a clean work area, complete basic repairs according to their proven abilities with oversight, assist other mechanics with bigger repairs, assist with other tasks as needed, follow all safety rules and regulations and adhere to all policies and procedures of Barr-Nunn, and maintain good attendance record while in the intern program.
