General Description:

The Firearms Assembly Technician is responsible for the assembly and testing of firearms. Safety is the priority while ensuring daily production of the department is met, and technical concerns are addressed.

Reports to: Director of Operations


Responsibilities:

  • Manage assembly of all Firearms & Components
  • Maintain production and testing records and reports
  • Work closely as a team with Purchasing, Customer Service, and Sales.
  • Inform management of any and all problems concerning safety and work environment.
  • Inform management of any and all problems with assembly/production operations.
  • Assist in technical problem solving issues.
  • Manage all parts and material cycle counts, track assembly inventory.
  • Maintain maximum security – firearms and cage/safe access, product loss, access to the production area.
  • Maintain all quality standards on all assembled product.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and QC on all defective parts from suppliers.
  • Act as technical expert for all Customer Service issues.
  • Maintain a clean and work friendly environment for all department employees.
  • Knowledge of safe use and handling of firearms
  • Carry out all other duties as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

In partnership with organization's PEO:

  • Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures
  • This list of responsibilities may not be all-inclusive and can be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical expertise in a broad range of firearm related topics
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Willing to learn to become proficient in operating applicable equipment, software and systems
  • Good attitude
  • Quality oriented
