Job description
Immediate need for an experienced CNC Operator. The ideal candidate must work effectively in a team environment and be capable of independently operating and setting up a Giben Panel Saw and an SCM 3-Axis CNC Router. The successful applicant should be self-sufficient, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality work while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.
Shift – 5:00am to 1:00pm, overtime as required and may include Saturdays
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain proper inventory of product
- Set-up and program machinery.
- Cutting product to size on panel saw
- Operating CNC router
- Transfer completed product from saw and router to next department using forklift
- Perform inspections and verify dimensions using a tape measure
- Cleaning Saw, Router, and dust collector
- Understand and meet or exceed daily productivity requirements.
- Active involvement in continuous improvement activities and initiatives.
- Operate and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
Experience/Qualifications
- 2+ years’ 3-Axis CNC Router experience preferred
- 2+ years’ Panel Saw experience preferred
- Table Saw
- Forklift preferred
- Experience with Giben and/or SCM a plus
- Experience with Xilog Plus and PanelMac software a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Standing for the majority of the 8 hour shift.
- The ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to read work orders
- Changing blades, bits, and other tooling on an as needed basis.
- Ability to load sheet goods onto the saw and CNC.
- Ability to handle cut down product.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to dust from saw and router debris, and a noisy environment. Hearing and eye protection is provided and must be worn.
Position Type and Salary
- This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Experience will be considered.
