Welder/Fabricator

Fabricate and weld precision components and assemblies to customer drawings and quality requirements using primarily GTAW (TIG) welding. Perform fit-up, welding, grinding, finishing, and dimensional inspection of stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel parts. Read engineering drawings, use precision measuring equipment, and maintain compliance with quality standards while producing high-quality work in a job shop environment. Operate fabrication equipment safely, maintain a clean and organized work area, and work collaboratively with team members to meet customer delivery schedules.

This position requires a team-oriented mindset and a willingness to support all areas of the manufacturing process as needed. Cross-training and collaboration are encouraged, providing opportunities to develop new skills, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and grow within the organization.

Skills/Requirements

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet production deadlines. Commitment to producing high-quality work while following established quality standards. Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Positive attitude with a desire to learn new processes, cross-train, and grow within the organization. Proficiency in GTAW (TIG) welding; MIG welding experience is a plus. Strong fabrication, fit-up, grinding, and finishing skills with attention to detail. Strong teamwork and communication skills with a willingness to support all areas of the manufacturing process.

Additional Skills/Requirements: 2+ years of TIG welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing or job shop environment preferred.
Ability to pass a welding/fabrication skills assessment.
Experience working with stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching for extended periods.
Ability to safely operate fabrication equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
Commitment to following all safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Willingness to cross-train, support other manufacturing departments as needed, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
