Punchout / Warranty Technician

The Punchout / Warranty Technician is responsible for completing final punch-list items, warranty work, and service calls in newly completed and occupied homes. We operate with a team environment with a common goal of ensuring client satisfaction. We are deadline driven and reward those within the organization that accomplish the most.

This position is ideal for someone who is highly versatile; a true problem solver who can handle a wide range of finish and repair work with minimal supervision. The right candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates professionally with homeowners, and can represent our company well in the field.

Responsibilities:

·        Complete final punch-list items prior to homeowner move-in

·        Perform warranty and service work in occupied homes

·        Diagnose and repair construction-related issues efficiently

·        Complete a variety of repair tasks, including:

o   Trim and finish carpentry repairs

o   Door and hardware adjustments

o   Cabinet and drawer alignment

o   Drywall patching and repair

o   Caulking and sealing

o   Paint touch-ups

o   Minor tile, flooring, and grout repairs

o   Basic plumbing fixture adjustments

o   Minor electrical fixture replacements (switches, outlets, lights)

·        Identify root causes of issues rather than just treating symptoms

·        Communicate clearly with project managers and office staff

·        Maintain organized records of completed service items

·        Keep work areas clean and protect finished surfaces inside client homes

·        Daily logs.

·        Ensure safety on the job site.

·        Ensure safekeeping of the home, building materials and finishes. 

Qualifications

·        3+ years of residential construction, carpentry, remodeling, or handyman experience preferred

·        Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and finishes

·        Ability to perform high-quality repairs across multiple trades

·        Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

·        Ability to work independently and manage daily workload

·        Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship

·        Professional, respectful communication with homeowners

·        Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

·        Candidate should provide standard hand tools and cordless tools. Employer may provide specialty equipment and materials.

Compensation and Benefits:

·        Hourly rate paid bi-weekly

·        Paid time off

·        Paid company holidays (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, ½ day on New Year’s Eve)

·        Truck / gas allowance.   Requirement to have a reliable/presentable pickup truck.
