Americraft Manufacturing, a leading maker of industrial ventilating and exhaust fans, is looking for a motivated welder to join our team. This is a great opportunity to build on your training in a hands-on, supportive shop environment.
What You'll Do:
- Read blueprints and take measurements to plan your welds
- Set up and weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions
- Choose the right welding method and equipment for the job
- Inspect your work for quality and flag any flaws
- Use power tools and machines like grinders and press brakes
- Keep your workstation clean, organized, and safe
- Work alongside experienced team members and contribute to shipping deadlines
What We're Looking For:
- Completion of a relevant welding school program, or 1+ years of welding experience
- Familiarity with welding safety practices and PPE (helmets, gloves, eyewear, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized
- Valid driver's license
- Must be at least 18 years old (not required for student co-op)
- Comfortable with physical work: standing, bending, lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally
