Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that production equipment and facility systems operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, manufacturer manuals, engineering specifications, and sketches.
- Troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, and reassemble plant machinery, including air compressors, drills, motors, pneumatic systems, hydraulic equipment, and grinders.
- Perform preventative maintenance and verify proper machine operation following repairs or maintenance.
- Order, track, and maintain inventory of maintenance parts and supplies.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain the facility, grounds, and manufacturing areas through routine and corrective maintenance activities.
- Work collaboratively with team members and treat all associates with professionalism and respect.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; trade school coursework or technical training preferred.
- Completion of a relevant technical program (e.g., industrial maintenance) or up to one (1) year of related hands-on experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation, manuals, and blueprints.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and/or walk for 90–100% of the work shift.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work in environments with elevated noise levels and dust.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
