We are currently searching for an entry-level Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team at Valco Melton. This position will involve general maintenance work in areas ranging from carpentry to electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. This role will also perform general upkeep and other tasks as assigned.
Applicants do not need extensive maintenance experience. Training is available for candidates who are willing to learn. The indeed posting can be found here.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Conducts routine inspections and maintenance of heating, electrical, and air conditioning equipment; replaces filters.
- Perform remodeling and basic construction work in warehouse and office settings.
- Maintain exterior property, including snow removal.
- Assembles, repairs, maintains, and moves furniture, such as desks, cabinets, tables, chairs, shelves, and related fittings and fixtures.
- Driving for local pickups and deliveries to support maintenance tasks.
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required/Preferred Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent.
- Basic-to-intermediate mechanical skill set.
- Basic remodeling and/or construction skills.
- Basic handyman skills (painting, plumbing, etc.)
- Knowledge of carpentry basics (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to push/lift 75 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders, bend at waist, and perform sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, and crouching as job may require.
