A bicycle shop is not just a specialized toy store, it's much more than that. The people that are drawn to working in them are typically more than just bike enthusiasts, they are more well-rounded than that.
Remember the Wright Brothers? Their interests included engineering, mechanics, physics, machining, aerodynamics, and design. They developed and honed those skills at a bicycle shop. From there they took those interests even further and pioneered the aerospace industry. It's no coincidence. Bicycle shops attract above average people who understand the physical world in a deeper way.
E-Bike Tech: E-bike popularity is exploding, we need to train more technicians to help us keep up with the demand for servicing them. The electrical systems are not super complex, but unlike mechanical systems, you can't see the electrons to figure-out why they're not working. Some excellent bike mechanics struggle with the invisible world of electricity.
Inventory Specialist: We are looking for a multi-talented individual who has the organizational skill, and attention to detail to help manage our inventory. The position involves receiving and distributing items for general inventory as well as handling special orders for service work and customers.
Additionally, this individual needs to have some mechanical aptitude, and dexterity to be trained to help assemble new bikes and handle the occasional tire/tube replacement.
Mechanic: We are looking for individuals with a good mechanical aptitude to train to service bicycles. This is not a job for the easily frustrated. Bicycle repair will stretch your abilities, test your patience, and develop your problem-solving skills.
