They recognized an opportunity to provide freshly crafted coffees outside the traditional coffee shop after spending many years in the business world. Rooted Grounds Coffee Company focuses on delivering high-quality coffee experiences wherever people gather and have grown to serve 33 states from the local Mason, OH Roastery.
Responsibilities & Tasks
· Member of the production team, running all equipment daily in production, while also learning each machine:
o Coffee Roasting – Two automated Diedrich Coffee Roasters
o Coffee Blender – One Vacuum Loaded Coffee Blending System
o Coffee Grinding – One MPE Granulizer and Integrated Chain-Vey System
o Coffee Packing – Vertical Fill Form Seal Machines (VFFS) - currently 3 machines
o Valve Applicator Systems on each VFFS machine.
o Vacuum Loaders on each machine.
o Integrated Pneumatic Flavoring System
o Automated Box Conveying System and Case Sealer / Printer.
o Screw Compressor
o Various smaller support machines.
o Flavor Blender
o Retail Bagger
o Retail Sealer Conveyor
· Goals will be focused on production room efficiency of equipment up-time:
o Weekly Preventative Maintenance
o Daily Changeover Processes
o Daily Troubleshooting and Equipment Maintenance
o Development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
o Creating new SOPs to drive key metrics and efficiency
o Consult Quality Manager for packing label review.
o Manage processes through MaintenX System.
o Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) procedures.
Qualifications
· Manufacturing Equipment Education and/or Experience
· Computer aptitude for data entry
· Attention to detail.
· Willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Desire to learn new skills and grow with the company.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs.
· Completion of a background check and drug testing (including any form of THC).
· Drug and smoke free environment
Compensation
· $19-$24 / hour based on experience.
· Full-Time 7am – 3:30 pm Monday – Friday / Part-Time to Full-Time Flexible
· Opportunity for quarterly bonus based on operational efficiency goals.
· Eligible for prorated PTO and paid holidays if average > 25 hours per week
· Six national holidays paid time off, plus one additional float holiday.
· Unpaid time off with approval.
· Eligible for benefits if working 30 hours/week or more.
