Job Summary:

The ESFM warehouse associate will ensure the safe and consistent movement of materials and operations of all equipment such as Powered Industrial Trucks. The warehouse associate will also ensure all records are maintained and completed in a consistent fashion to ensure complete control of all materials flowing into and out of the warehouse space. Maintaining and promoting positive customer relationships are essential.

Report To: Warehouse Manager

 Job Responsibilities

Safety

  • Conduct daily inspections of the Powered Industrial Truck before the first use and or at the beginning of each shift.
  • Communicate any equipment defects to their leadership team.
  • Maintain a safe work environment free of recordable incidents for all employees and customers.
  • Always ensure the truck/trailer is chocked and or locked into the dock before entering with any type of equipment.
  • Wear all required personnel protective equipment as required.
    • Safety toed shoes or boots are required to be always used when operating a Powered Industrial Truck.
    • Abrasion resistant gloves are required when handling any packages and or pallets.
  • Ensure any associate that inspects or operates any Powered Industrial Truck has been trained as per OSHA 1910.178 regulations initially and at least every 3 years.
  • Ensure any incidents are reported to their leadership team immediately.

Distribution Processes & Procedures

  • Places materials/goods on racks, shelves and bins 
  • Marks materials with identifying information.
  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Uses computer to enter records.
  • Maintains inventory records.
  • Operate Rider fork-trucks and powered walk behind pallet jacks. Prior experience preferred, willing to train.
  • Communicates with warehouse leadership on a frequent basis about task that are being performed.
  • Communicate with the receiver to ensure the inventory control function is being performed to expectations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Customer Service

  • Respond to customer needs and requests.
  • Promptly inform supervisor of potential problems or customer issues.

Administration

  • Maintain all documents such as daily inspections, repair logs, shipment logs, receiving logs, etc.
  • Utilize mobile devices 

Job Qualifications

  • Must have basic computer skills including the working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Apple IOS.
  • Operational knowledge of all relevant equipment within the department.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented to transcribe and quality check information.
  • Speaks clearly and concisely in a professional manner.
  • Ability to recognize items that are hazardous materials
  • Ability to read and follow the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ability to perform any dock operations function including the use of manual pallet jacks & Powered Industrial Trucks.
  • Good working knowledge of shipping software used by UPS, DHL & FedEx.
  • must be able to move a package weighing up to 50 lbs

Skills/Requirements

Ability to complete multiple projects Applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver’s license and must be able to pass a drug screen and background check. Follows directions Forklift Operation Safety
