Job Summary:
The ESFM Dock Receiver | Package Delivery associate will ensure the safe and consistent movement of materials and operations of all equipment such as Powered Industrial Trucks. The associate will also ensure all records are maintained and completed in a consistent fashion to ensure complete control of all materials flowing into and out of the dock space or lab areas. The associate will be able manage walking and delivering items via cart while maintaining safe work practice. Maintaining and promoting positive customer relationships are essential.
Report To: Supervisor > Operations Manager or Unit Manager
Job Responsibilities
Safety
- Wear all required personal protective equipment.
- Safety toed shoes or boots are required when operating a Powered Industrial Truck
- Abrasion resistant gloves are required when handling any packages and or pallets.
- Ensure any associate that inspects or operates any Powered Industrial Truck has been trained as per OSHA 1910.178 regulations initially and at least every 3 years.
- Ensure any incidents are reported to their leadership team immediately.
- Ensure proper training on DOT general awareness and Spill Response
Distribution Processes & Procedures
- Oversight of customer emails
- Ensure address accuracy of materials coming in and outbound
- Manage Receive It database for accuracy and record keeping
- Marks packages with identifying information per instruction
- Uses computer/iPad to enter records, take pictures, and perform deliveries
- Communicates with dock leadership on a frequent basis about tasks that are being performed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Customer Service
- Follow established customer inquiry process and respond to customer needs and requests.
- Login to Microsoft Teams & email daily to aid in communication with customers
- Maintain professional business etiquette in all interactions
- Promptly inform supervisor of potential problems or customer concerns
Administration
- Daily operation of PxG apps, inventory and receive it data
- Utilize mobile devices (Receive It, Email/Teams communication, etc.).
