Stepping Stones is an award-winning organization that has proudly served children, teens and adults with disabilities since 1963 in Greater Cincinnati.

Throughout the school-year, our popular Saturday Clubs operates at our 23-acre Given Campus in Indian Hill. To lead participants age 5 to 30 in art, nature, sensory and other recreation activities – we're hiring counselors to join our weekend staff team!

ABOUT OUR TEAM

Stepping Stones is proud of our long history of providing valuable, field work experience for college students pursuing future careers in Special Education, Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation, Nursing, Psychology or other related majors. Others come to us without prior field experience – and that’s okay!

Our program community welcomes staff from all backgrounds and our training program will provide you with all the tools you need to perform your job well.

GAIN EXPERIENCE IN:

• Executing adaptive recreation activities for multiple ages with disabilities
• Utilizing various communication skills – i.e. ASL, visual queues, devices
• State and local documentation – reporting progress on participants' personal goals
• Leading participants and volunteers as a collaborative team
• Providing an inclusive space that supports participants needs
• Critical thinking, adaption and problem-solving skills
• First Aid & CPR certification at no cost to you

WHEN WILL YOU BE WORKING?

• Saturdays from 8:30 am to 3 pm

FLEXIBILITY: While we'd love to have you work every Saturday Club, we understand scheduling conflicts do come up. Applying does not commit you to working every session.

COMPENSATION: $68 per shift

WORK REQUIREMENTS:

• Age 18 or above with a high school diploma or GED
• Ability to successfully complete all background check requirements
• Ability to complete all online and in-person training
• Ability to lift up to 50 LBs
