What You’ll Do
You’ll lead the inbound and outbound logistics coordination team and own day-to-day shipping execution, especially for international movements, customs compliance, and carrier performance. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and using KPIs to drive better service, visibility, and cost control.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead daily inbound/outbound shipping to ensure accurate, on-time movement
- Coach and develop inbound/outbound coordinators, balance workload and execution quality
- Own international shipping + import/customs execution (docs, brokers, CBP); support ACE workflows as needed
- Manage carriers/brokers for service and cost (issue resolution, reliability, continuous improvement)
- Strengthen tracking and KPI reporting (transit time, customs delays, pickup vs. ready date, OTD)
- Partner with Finance on cost allocation/visibility and standardized SOPs to reduce delays and scale
What We’re Looking For
You’re a calm, practical logistics leader who enjoys solving problems, building structure, and improving performance with data. You can work confidently across the floor and the office, coaching a team while partnering with internal stakeholders and external carriers/brokers.
Minimum qualifications
- Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics/Business (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in shipping/logistics operations (manufacturing a plus)
- 3+ years leading people (coaching, prioritizing, driving execution)
- International shipping + import/customs experience (broker coordination, compliance)
- Strong Excel/KPI skills and problem-solving, turning data into action on service, delays, and cost
- Preferred: ACE (Automated Commercial Environment) or similar trade compliance tools
